Ruder Finn has made several key appointments in Hong Kong and China.
In Hong Kong, Winnie Lai (pictured right) has joined as vice-president and general manager. With 20 years of experience in the industry, Lai has offered communications counsel to clients in Greater China and Asia Pacific, including Microsoft, GE Healthcare, and Jebsen.
Before joining the Hong Kong office of Ruder Finn, she was vice-president of Greater China at Waggener Edstrom, where she strengthened revenues and profits, grew the team to 50 executives, and established the firm as one of the largest communications consultancies in Hong Kong. She has also been a reporter at Computerworld, and a senior consultant at Hill+Knowlton.
Meanwhile, in Greater China, Gao Ming (pictured second to right) has been named senior vice-president and managing director of Luxury Practice. In this new role, Gao will be responsible for expanding the firm’s China luxury stronghold to additional markets.
Having led Ruder Finn’s National Luxury Practice in China since 2015, Gao has been instrumental in developing a network of industry-leading clients, including Chaumet, Hermès, Mont Blanc, Longines, Hennessy, and Cartier.
Long Xi (pictured second to left) has been promoted to leader of the integrated marketing practice at Ruder Finn Greater China.
Long will handle the firm’s consumer digital marketing communications across web, digital, online, media, and social media for clients. She has worked with Almond Board of California, MHD, and 3M. Prior to Ruder Finn, Long held senior positions at Michael Kors, Edelman, and Giorgio Armani Group.
Last, Will Yuan (pictured left) has joined as leader of the automotive practice at Ruder Finn China. With 15 years of experience in the industry, Yuan will lead market growth strategies for the firm, overseeing clients such as Audi, Mercedes-Benz, Volkswagen Group China, Lamborghini, and other automotive clients.
